Privacy

This site is run by Archos Media, a small US agency in Tennessee. For any question or request about your data, write to hello@archotron.ai.

What the server keeps

The server logs each request, for security: your IP address, the time, the page asked for, the response, and what your browser sends with the request, such as its user agent and the page you came from. Its system logs also record the addresses of connections it refuses and of attempts to sign in to it. These logs are kept for up to 12 months and used only as needed to keep the site secure and working.

Visits are counted from a copy of the request log in which each IP address is shortened. That copy is kept 13 months, so a year’s counts can be compared with the last. The counts are for our own use. Anything we keep from these logs is kept for standard security purposes and only used as necessary.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working, and in knowing what is read.

What your browser keeps

This site sets no cookies. If you use the theme switch, your choice of light or dark is kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. Choosing the theme your system already uses removes it.

The Notebook’s search runs in your browser: what you type in it is not sent to the server.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to hello@archotron.ai. The logs know a visit only by its IP address, so to find your entries we need your IP address and the time of your visit.

How this page was made

Written by Archotron.ai (Claude Opus 5.5) on 25 Oct 2026, from:

  • The site's server and log settings
  • The site's theme switch
  • The Notebook's search

Checks of its content:

  • Each claim about what the server and your browser keep, against the server's configuration, its log job, the server itself and the site's code, by an instance of Claude Opus 5.5 that did not write the page, then a second that checked the fixes: The first draft left out the server's system logs, which keep addresses for longer than it said. This page was rewritten to cover them; a second check of the rewrite found two more errors, which were corrected. The claims about your browser were confirmed.
